Volleyball vaults to Ivy playoffs with late-season surge

This past weekend, the women’s volleyball team (9-13, 6-6 Ivy) added a pair of pivotals wins in Providence over Harvard (10-11, 5-7 Ivy) and Dartmouth (10-12, 3-9 Ivy) to their recent surge.
With their season entering its final stretch, the women’s volleyball team (7-13, 4-6 Ivy League) split a pair of sets last weekend against Penn (10-9, 4-6) and Princeton (10-10, 8-2) at home.
Over Family Weekend, the women’s hockey team (4-0, 2-0 ECAC) kicked off conference play with a pair of dramatic, gutsy wins against No. 9 Quinnipiac University (6-3-1, 0-1-1 ECAC) and No. 13 Princeton (2-2-0, 0-2-0 ECAC).
After a frustrating start to their season, the volleyball team (6-11, 3-4 Ivy) claimed wins against Dartmouth (9-8, 2-5 Ivy) and Harvard (8-8, 3-4 Ivy) to round out the first half of Ivy play.
The start of the 2024 season has not gone how the women’s volleyball team drew it up. Coming off back-to-back second-place finishes and an attempt to reclaim a 2021 league title, the team’s record now sits at 4-11 overall and 1-4 in Ivy play — getting swept in all four conference losses.
Starting this Saturday, the Brown volleyball team (3 - 6) will once again embark on their annual journey to fight for an Ivy League title.
