Spring Weekend 2025 will be a one-day event on Saturday, April 26th, the Brown Concert Agency announced Friday.
The Brown Concert Agency made the decision after considering feedback given in a school-wide survey administered earlier this semester. 52.8% of the 1348 survey respondents voted in favor of a one-day festival.
Last year’s budget cuts by the Undergraduate Financial Board gave the Brown Concert Agency “a new perspective on what Spring Weekend can look like as a one-day festival,” according to the Instagram post.
Though the organization has an increased budget this year, the 2025 Spring Weekend festival will only feature around three to four artists like last year, rather than the six it has had in the past.
The organization also reviewed “decreased production costs" and security concerns for the shortened festival.
