Proper lime segmenting yields six to eight units per fruit, and is greatly aided by the blade of a proper knife. If the wedge is intended for a Corona, squeeze half the juice directly into the beer and follow with a lush swipe of the rim. Perch wedge half-in, half-out of the bottle, just like in the ads, allowing each drinker the distinct pleasure of dive-bombing his or her lime into the beer. If the wedge is intended for a shot, simply score horizontally and place on rim of shot glass; when taking shot, deliver a few drops of juice into the tequila, reserving the rest for post-shot toothing.
